Biography:

David is a collaborative, outward-looking leader of a successful primary Multi Academy Trust, bringing a wealth of experience from across the primary education sector. His leadership spans diverse range of school settings — from small village church schools to large urban Infant and Junior schools with nursery and specialist provision — equipping him with a deep and practical understanding of the challenges and opportunities for schools and the communities they serves.

A passionate advocate for inclusion, David holds several key system leadership roles, including membership of the KALE Executive, the KALE SEND Group, the Schools Funding Forum, and Chair of a Community of Schools.

David’s approach to leadership is rooted in sustainable school improvement, with a strong emphasis on succession planning and talent development. David has a proven track record of identifying and nurturing potential, building strong leadership capacity, resulting in improved outcomes for all pupils.

As a coach, David creates a reflective, supportive space that balances empathy with professional challenge. Bringing an innate understanding of the pressures of school leadership David creates a coaching climate which enables coachees to explore and clarify their purpose, discover their own solutions, and confidently develop their own leadership style.
