"With over 20 years of experience in education, I have held senior leadership roles including Headteacher, Executive Headteacher, and Deputy CEO. Throughout these roles, coaching has played an integral part of my leadership approach—particularly in supporting and developing senior leaders and teachers.
For several years, I have provided informal coaching across my schools and trust, using a flexible, person-centred approach. This has included guiding colleagues through leadership challenges, reflective practice, and professional development.
I am currently completing a Level 5 Practitioner in Coaching qualification, accredited by the EMCC, with completion due in July. As part of this training, I have coached individuals both within and outside my organisation, expanding my experience and enhancing my practice through formal supervision and feedback.
My coaching style is grounded in helping clients reflect deeply and think more broadly about their goals and challenges. I use a range of techniques, including reflective and transactional coaching, adapting to the individual’s needs and preferences. My aim is to create a supportive yet challenging environment that encourages growth and fresh perspectives.
In addition, I have undertaken several National Professional Qualification (NPQ) programmes, giving me insight into the coaching and mentoring support needed by participants. I have also coached senior leaders through their own NPQ journeys, helping them integrate learning into their leadership practice.
Overall, I bring a depth of educational leadership experience combined with a developing formal coaching practice that is reflective, adaptable, and impact-focused."
