Biography:

My coaching practice is rooted in my broad experience of secondary and post-16 education, gained during a thirty plus year career as a teacher, middle, and senior leader. During this wide-ranging career, I have experienced many different working cultures and situations. These include working: to turn round failing schools and departments; in high performing institutions looking to push on to even better outcomes; with leaders and colleagues with a wide variety of leadership styles, and levels of current competence; in small close-knit teams, as well as much larger staff bodies that were less well connected, and at places experiencing periods of stability as well as those going through periods of rapid change, including the merging of two, culturally, different organisations.

My day job is working as a senior leader and internal coach as part of the Senior Team at a large Sixth Form College. I am naturally draw to a coaching style of leadership and have formalised this part of my career by undertaking ICF accredited training and completing a Level 7 coaching qualification.
