Biography:

As a coach and mentor, I adopt a supportive yet challenging approach rooted in trust, reflection, and professional growth. I believe effective coaching is built on strong relationships and purposeful dialogue, where individuals feel safe to reflect honestly on their practice while being encouraged to stretch beyond their comfort zone. My role is not to provide all the answers, but to guide colleagues to identify their own solutions through structured questioning, evidence-informed discussion, and clear goal setting.

My coaching style is collaborative and strengths-based. I begin by recognising what is working well, then use focused targets and practical strategies to drive improvement. I encourage regular reflection cycles, including lesson observation feedback, data review, and student voice, ensuring that professional development is meaningful and directly linked to classroom impact. I also emphasise accountability in a constructive way—agreeing on actionable next steps and reviewing progress consistently.

I am guided by values of integrity, empathy, and high expectations. I understand that each teacher’s context and confidence level differ, and I adapt my approach accordingly. Whether supporting early career teachers in building classroom presence or working with experienced colleagues to refine pedagogy, I aim to empower others to become reflective, resilient, and self-directed practitioners.

Ultimately, my goal as a coach is to build capacity within teams, strengthen teaching and learning, and foster a culture where continuous improvement is embedded and professionally rewarding.
