Biography:
Since leaving my Headship( 21yrs Exec Head final 6) I have worked with the National College, the Teaching school Council and DfE. At the same time I developed my Coaching/Mentoring role over the last 10 years. I was trained and worked for Ambition School Leadership as a Coach/Mentor and NPQ facilitator. I currently coach 18 International NPQH participants, 7 Headteachers/Leadership Teams around the country, I supervise newly trained Coaches for Sutton Borough(Cognus).
I have just last month completed my 4th part time Interim Headship, all schools struggling with challenges.
My Coaching and mentoring approach seeks to support thinking and greater self understanding by the Coachee. I draw upon my own knowledge and experience offering ideas to explore or challenges to consider. In this sense I do not "tell" Coachees but where appropriate share ideas examples and experiences to explore. I place emphasis on good listening and engagement and ensure that the professional Coaching conversation is valuable.
