I bring a warm, empathetic approach to coaching and build trust quickly. My mantra is to listen with fascination and after thirty years working in education and now also alongside charities and the not-for-profit sector, I have become adept at untangling situations and finding clarity where things feel stuck.
I offer challenge, with kindness, and take my work - but not myself - seriously. I am optimistic by nature, but that does not mean I look away from hard things.
I hold a Level 7 ICF accredited coaching qualification with the ILM, a Level 5 workplace mediation accreditation (TCM), qualification as a workplace investigator, and an MEd from the University of Cambridge in educational leadership and school improvement. I am a Mental Health First Aider. As a Chair of Governors and Chair of the Education Committee in the maintained and independent sectors respectively, I have a particular interest in governance and how it shapes culture. I work in partnership with CoSteer on governance and culture programmes for schools, charities and SMEs. I also offer mentoring, with a particular commitment to aspiring leaders and women moving into senior leadership in education.
