Biography:

I am a clear-thinking, warm, professional coach, with excellent listening skills and a strong understanding of the fast-paced working environment and relentless demands of working at senior levels in Education. Whether the need is to untangle a knotty problem within a team, support with crisis management, plan a route through or out of your current role, or simply to survive, I can offer invaluable coaching support and a space to reflect and strategise solutions.
More formally, following many years in senior leadership in secondary schools, including 8 years as Headteacher within a disadvantaged area of the South East of England, I offer leadership coaching and educational consultancy. I provide both consultancy and emergency support for school leaders in their hugely challenging role, and in a difficult time in education.
A certified, executive leadership AACT coach with The Educational Coach Company, I follow the Association for Coaching ethical framework. I am also trained as a Headsup4HT group headteachers’ coach.
My current roles also include
• chairing the In-Year Fair Access panel in Dover, Deal and Sandwich
• chairing the management committee of a local pupil referral unit
• developing my coaching business to support school leaders
• working with the TES this year as a Pathway Tutor for teacher trainees
• quality assuring the delivery of the ITT for the TES
• working with the SSAT as an Embedding Formative Assessment mentor with leadership teams and key groups of staff across the South East
• an ASCL Local Representative.
