As the Director of Education at Veema, I oversee all Veema training and school improvement support programmes. I manage the team of Associates and coordinate all their projects. Additionally, I am responsible for the NPQ programmes and their promotion to our international schools. I also work as a trainer and adviser in leadership and school improvement. I hold an executive coaching qualification with Cambridge University and will soon be publishing my new book ‘’The School Leader's Guide to Leading Professional Development’.
I have played a crucial role as a coach in all our leadership programmes, providing essential follow-up support for every course we deliver to our schools. My focus has been ensuring participants receive ongoing guidance and assistance through high-quality coaching sessions. This commitment to post-course support aims to enhance the practical application of leadership principles in the day-to-day operations of a school leader's role, fostering sustained growth and development over time whilst providing vital ongoing support. I have been coaching school leaders for over 5 years.
My coaching values are rooted in trust, emphasising that school leaders can engage in open and honest conversations without fear of judgment, ensuring confidentiality is maintained. My coaching style is characterised by empowering individuals to take the lead in determining the focus of our sessions. I believe in asking open-ended questions at the right moments, guiding the exploration of professional areas that matter most to the individual. This approach is designed to enable a deeper dive into specific aspects of their professional journey, facilitating the process of self-discovery and empowering them to find meaningful answers within themselves.
