Biography:

I am an ICF Accredited Certified Coach with over 20 years of experience teaching, leading, and coaching in secondary and higher education. I offer one to one developmental coaching for current and aspiring school leaders, as well as group coaching for middle leaders. I also run online programmes and communities for school leaders looking to create educational change on their own terms without burning out.

I use a facilitative coaching approach, assuming that you are the expert on you and your school. Sessions encourage reflection on what authentic, successful leadership looks like for you, drawing explicitly on your existing knowledge, professional learning and available evidence to plan action in your school’s unique context.

All leaders are also people so developmental coaching will involve examining and overcoming any blockers to your vision for leadership, for instance, through building self-belief, working through challenging relationships and maintaining work-life balance.

I am committed to the development of educational leadership as a way to promote sustainable change grounded in social justice. I aim always to coach with awareness and understanding of intersectionality and neurodiversity. It is important to me that we create a partnership that allows you to set the focus and pace of our sessions. To this end, before we begin coaching, we will discuss your needs and preferences to ensure that we work in a way that suits you as an individual.

I prioritise CPD, through membership of professional coaching bodies, attending regular training as well as supervision with a qualified supervisor.
