I work as a freelance Executive and Leadership Coach. I moved to Brighton from London in 2018, following 7 years as the Head Teacher of a large special school in London, and prior to this I was a Head Teacher in a school in Wandsworth. Throughout my teaching career I have worked in Primary, Secondary and Special schools and in Further and Higher Education settings. I have over 1,200 hours experience of coaching, primarily In Education settings with Head Teachers, NPQ participants, and Senior Leaders as well as leaders in Charity and Health organisations. I have completed in excess of 270 hours of coach training. I trained with the Coaches Training Institute (CTI) and I also have an Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM) level 5 qualification in coaching and mentoring. In addition, I have completed the CRR Global Programme in Organisational and Team Coaching and have attended training in a range of therapeutic and well-being interventions. I currently work mostly remotely with Leaders in Primary, Special and Secondary schools and work face to face in London and Brighton. I combine my broad experience and understanding of schools and education with a robust professional coaching approach which enables me to build strong relationships and ensures I can be both supportive and challenging in my sessions. I use a range of coaching models and frameworks that meet a broad spectrum of professional and personal needs and this ensures I empower my coachees to reflect and be proactive in their own practice. My style is eclectic and co-active, and my aim in working with participants in the NPQ programmes is to focus on translating theory into practice, development of skills, and creating a safe space to explore career progression.
