Biography:

I have been a certified ILM coach since 2022 but have used a coaching approach to mentoring for many years before that. As an experienced special needs head teacher and school improvement partner, I support school leaders to extend and develop their leadership profiles within their organisations. I coach trainee teachers as well as early career teachers, this year I have coached Headteachers on the Early Headship coaching programme , NPQH programme and led training for the NPQSENCO award. I recently coached professionals through the NPQLPD award.

I am committed to coaching which focuses on the whole person through a holistic approach I am a warm, reflective coach who pays attention to internal motivators feelings and behaviours, both physical and emotional. I believe observing, listening, and reflecting while maintaining focus with appropriate challenge is vital. My clients leave the session with an enhanced vision extending their goals which helps them to be the best part of themselves. This happens through careful and consistent questioning that elicits answers that are self-driven and motivated.

I offer coaching and leadership support to head teachers senior leaders teachers trainees and school groups as well as personal clients. I like to carry out at least one session in person if it's possible as I believe the face-to-face live interaction is precious to a coaching relationship.

All the leaders I have coached through NPQH are now successful head teachers it inspires and delights me to see the transformation clients go through from my coaching.
