Helen Tarokh

I am a full-time external coach and supervisor.

My approach to coaching and supervision:

·       Helping you to see more and gain a fresh perspective

Why choose me as a coach/supervisor?

I’ve spent over 30 years working in the education sector, including 10 years as a head. I've led both trust and LA schools and have worked as part of a trust executive team. I am currently a trustee of a large MAT in the North East which keeps me in touch with the latest developments in the sector. I'm knowledgeable about educational leadership, but I'm carrying that experience lightly. I don't allow it to get in the way of high quality coaching, which is about 'holding up the mirror' and drawing out your resourcefulness.

I believe in the power of positive provocation!  I create a safe and non-judgemental space where you feel able to be honest and open about your leadership. I bring a provocative energy which is infused with compassion and deep respect for the difficult job you do. The dynamic energy I bring will feed your purpose and amplify your leadership impact. 

Qualifications and credentials:

·       ILM Level 7 Executive Coach and Mentor

·       Training as a coaching supervisor (Oxford Brookes University)

·       Leadership qualifications: NPQH, NPQEL, MA in Education (special needs)

In my work coaching headteachers, I support leadership sustainability. In the current education landscape, challenges can push leaders to their limits and towards burnout. Consideration of physical and mental health and wellbeing infuses my coaching work.
